Days Inn by Wyndham Marietta-Atlanta-Delk Road

Stayed here as a rest stop on the way home from Florida from Illinois. Nice spot to stop to avoid Atlanta traffic after driving 10 hours. Pretty much wrote this to offset some of the horrible reviews. This place isn't bad at all. The room is clean, the beds are comfortable, plenty of water pressure. Laminate flooring rather than nasty carpet. Carpet will NEVER be clean, not even in a 4 star hotel with a top notch housekeeping staff, so it's always nice to stay in a hotel that doesn't have carpeted rooms. Walked the room barefoot, and my feet stayed clean. Door to the room faces the parking lot, motel-style, so I was able to park literally 5 feet from the door. Nice. There are plenty of outlets and USB ports. Heavy draw down shades rather than curtains, so room can be blacked out. A/C unit works fine, but the 'constant on' fan function didn't work. That would have been nice for white noise. There is an ironing board and a spot for an iron, but the iron is missing. I'll assume that a previous guest stole it. Some reviewers seem to be overly obsessed with hotel breakfasts. They seem to want a full hot breakfast for their family of 5 included with a $70 room. I'd MUCH rather pay $70 for a hotel with a lousy breakfast than $100 for a place that has hot waffles. Maybe that's just me. I can get a really decent breakfast at a fast food place or quick serve diner for under $10. Checked in about 10 pm, no problems. Left at 3:30am (to avoid Atlanta/Macon traffic) , and the lobby door was locked, the clerk was asleep on the couch. Knocked lightly, but finally decided to just leave the room key on the counter and let the dude rest. Would I stay here for a week with the family? Probably not. Is it a clean, safe place to stay while traveling, or staying for a couple of days where you're not sitting in the room all day? Absolutely. Oh... almost forgot. I don't smoke, but I booked a 'smoking' room by mistake. There was an ashtray in the room, but I didn't smell any smoke at all.

Very nice room! Back of building upstairs area Get a king sized bed!(: Very quiet and safe, with many people here. Bed was comfortable. Decent pillows. Bathroom was newer than most other hotels. Fridge worked fine. Ac Heat great. TV channels were good. Lots of space. Overall, i think this is one of the best hotels I've been too. Plus Im alone, so that also makes it more peaceful. Good job to whoever runs this place. *applause* Only thing I wish was better, was the breakfast.

Based on reviews I would have not stayed. I was a bit scared upon arrival because I saw caution tape. Wasn’t sure at first glance why, happens to be they are going through a major renovation. Reality is that although they are going under major renovation, I was provided with a almost completely renovated room. Shower handle kept falling out, microwave and mini fridge not in its proper place and a wall light fixture never turned off but the room was clean, had clean sheets, warm water and a working a/c heater unit. After a 10 hour drive the stay at this hotel served it purpose. I was pleased to experience waking up peacefully on our on pace with out construction noises.

Could really be a great place to stay if employees and management could get on one accord.. Amner is the only one who seems to get it and unfortunately she is mainly on the second shift. I'm sure a lot of people would agree they need to reconsider their rank around there. Edmond, sweet sweet Edmond is as always a blessing. Polo brings character to the place. Housekeeping, well we just won't go there. Front desk won't even consider working with guests who have been there for ages but will rehire non paying ex employees who just don't pay until debt is paid. Nonsense. I say keep up the good work to those who go hard and to the others, pet smart is hiring.

Beautiful renovated room with great amenities. The swimming pool is nice and clean. We got a quiet, great night's sleep. Dave and Buster's right next door for fun or date night. Cracker Barrel is on the corner, so there's food in walking distance. Unfortunately, my husband went downstairs at 8:30am, and breakfast was gone! Other than that, it's still a good value, and we will stay again! Recommend 100%
